about

There were originally three verses to this poem, but at the time I only thought the first one worthy enough. Eventually I brought the second verse up to par but it remains unsung:

Feel envy of the driven
Whose calm one claim disturbs
One cause, single and strong
Insists be wholly given
Up to its sole purpose
With frantic speed headlong.
For these when they have striven
‘Though comfort it usurps
Then know where they belong

lyrics

Or those who mould the choices
Everywhere upthrown
With such resource of time
That ‘though ten thousand voices
Call (when one alone’s
Sufficiently sublime
To make a life rejoice)
They hear ere it has flown
A majestic chorus chime!
