Late summer day and my love and I went walking Over hills and fields we walked, laughing and talking Came across an old farmhouse standing broken and bare It used to be someone's home, now no one lives there There's a red barn standing held together with nails and dust And a tired old Massey Harris all wires and rust Weeds overgrown in a garden sown with care It used to be someone's home, now no one lives there And through the crack in the window pane I hear the sound of the falling rain Another farm being left run down Another family moved into town Had a life that they tried to save But the banks took it all away Hung a sign on a torn screen door Nobody lives here no more They worked their fingers to the bone With nothing left they can call their own Packed it in under leaden skies With just the wheat waving them goodbye Had a life that they tried to save But the banks took it all away Hung a sign on a torn screen door Nobody lives here no more

My ship's run aground, to dark depths it's sliding Emerging never, I'm not around Forget me now, the way is winding Secret and clever, I'll not be found Darkness is near, silence will follow You won't hear from me, I've gone to ground My way is clear, farewell is hollow Leave me here, I've gone to ground Discovering how to stay in hiding For now and forever I make no sound Mutely I bow, my sacrifice is binding To lonely endeavour. Cross on the mound I'm solitude bound, our destinies dividing All ties I sever, all search confound I'll never allow my wilful deciding To change what must ever in sorrow be drowned Believe me dear, I've gone to ground

Sleepless 02:40
Our weariness still whispers yes As in our bed pleasingly spread With sighing silk we press ‘Though night now flows toward its close Our senses wake and for their sake The scented candle glows Oh gods it’s beautiful! Life’s purpose may be felt With gliding fingertips In hands its hallowed warmth be held Or drawn within to find The awed and gasping innocence Of Nature’s reverent minds The hours we keep in our deep Enchantment give us leave to live Outside the need for sleep Your languid touch awakens such A lively thrill; it seems to fill My own fatigue too much Oh gods it’s wonderful! And you’re so meshed with me Our motion makes an incandescent Open mouthed unity In this ecstasy bliss Promises to keep this Night perfectly sleepless

Tolaeth 05:11
There’s a lady who can tell by looking at leaves what the future has in store for you And picking off the petals of a flower that grows could tell you if your love is true But if you hear the sound of weeping at night or the passing bell as it steels It is omen of death, it is the Tolaeth and you’re treading on a dead man’s heels The traveller came to the high high hill, the stars hung dazed in their flight And the mist hung low in the valley below as he stepped on into the night When he heard them ringing, tolling clear when no bells were there near It was the omen of death, it was the Tolaeth sounding on the midnight air Death I’ve heard you ringing I have felt you near I can hear my heartbeat racing The sun had gone and the moon rose high as the hour was getting late When out of the window the minister saw a funeral at the churchyard gate "Who has come here now to bury their dead at such a late hour? I ask" And he ran from his house to the graveside to perform the burying task Who is it he said, who is it he cried, you have come to bury this night But as he spoke these words the company there vanished in a flash of light And he stood there shaking a shivering wreck with just a horse’s head in his hand It was the omen of death, it was the Tolaeth walking on through that land Death I’ve heard you ringing I have felt you near I can hear my heartbeat racing Tolaeth before death Tolaeth before the coffin Tolaeth before burying I hear Tolaeth before death Tolaeth before the coffin, racing When you appear The lady of the house she stood in the light of the candle as it was burning When she heard the rattle of the stable door, her husband home returning And his face was a shade of ghostly white as he stepped on in through the door And in his eyes she saw the fear of which she’d never seen the like before "Tonight, dear wife, tonight I have seen a company of marching men And they held the corpse’s candle high as they marched around" and then As he told this tale a shadow appeared from a candle she did not light It was the omen of death, it was the Tolaeth burning for a poor soul’s plight Death I’ve heard you ringing I have felt you near I can hear my heartbeat racing Tolaeth before death Tolaeth before the coffin Tolaeth before burying I hear Tolaeth before death Tolaeth before the coffin, racing When you appear

Dead puppies aren’t much fun When you call them they don’t come When you pick them up they sag When you go for walks they drag My poor puppy died last fall That’s him lying in the hall Mother wants to throw them out Doesn’t like them lying about Don’t have to clean up where they've peed And they’re very cheap to feed, but… Don’t get fleas, they don’t get lice But the maggots don’t smell nice My dead puppy never squirms 'Cept inside where he's got worms Puppy's fur comes out in tufts Guess there's no point going to Crufts Although I took him to the vet There's no effective treatment yet I tried to teach my puppy tricks But nothing that I tell him sticks Don’t play fetch, they don’t play ball They play dead, and that’s all

To Paddington markets I went shopping one day I spied a stall with a colourful display I said to myself would you just look at that I really must buy that purple hat I own a jaunty purple hat And in to town I wander I wear it proudly on my head My wages for to squander Hey ho o oh where does it go? All will be fine in the morning oh I love my jaunty purple hat And with it I'll not tarry Down to the markets I will go And buy all I can carry I need my jaunty purple hat There's never any doubt If I keep spending like I do The money will run out I wear this jaunty purple hat My mates think I'm alright I shout them beers all through the day 'Cause drinking makes us tight I use my jaunty purple hat Whenever it is sunny I turn it upside down and then I play and sing for money

Hold On 02:48
One day you seem to have it all Tomorrow comes, it's gone Whatever's past is over now When all is said and done When all is said and done                      Listen here, hope is near, banish fear Hold on, hold on Dream a way beyond the grey of your dismay Hold on It's time to view your life anew. I'm here for you Hold on, hold on Discard the old and break the mould .See life unfold Hold on The precious prize, saved for the wise, is in disguise Hold on, hold on Create a space, a magic place, to welcome grace Hold on Fling open doors and walk fresh floors. Claim what is yours!  Hold on, hold on Until the end I'll be your friend. Your heart will mend.  Hold on Hold on, hold on, hold on!
